It's not a hoax out here in Phoenix. It's 87 friggin' degrees in almost the middle of November. I'll be hunting elk in shorts at this rate.....

I don't really believe in "global warming", but no one can argue the facts that it is warmer. We haven't had a -20c day yet, and its really hurting our ice road. I believe has its cold and warm cycles and we are just in a warm cycle.

The globe is getting warmer. Remember the ends of the glaciers use to be in the middle of the USA. They have been receding for millions of years. It's not all us.

As for Al gore... I'm a "A Freyed Knot"

Here's the plan:

We come up with a scientific term, oh something like "Global Warming."

We present scientific evidence that the average temperatures have recently increased around the globe.

We act like that's never happened in the history of the planet and that it's all caused by irresponsible humans.

We then present it so that our theory of why average temps are up, merges with the scientific evidence so that anytime anyone hears the term "Global Warming" they have to accept that it's fact because average temps ARE up, thus accepting that our theory of WHY the temps are up also as fact.
Then we make mass-loads of money marketing this whole "Go Green" campaign.

Oh wait...someone already did that?

just a quick question --with all this global warming -glaciers melting etc wheres all the water going ? the river and lake behind my house are the lowest they been in 35 years as per my neighbour whom has lived here all his life (hes 65) i personally watched it drop over 2 ft this fall --- just a curious canadian

I read an article the other day where this guy was hunting Muxkox above the Arctic Circle. The Native guides showed him their ancestral homes which were built along the edge of the sea. They were several hundred yards away from the current shore. By the way they were in a Blizzard most of the time he was there April 2006 with temps -40 and below.

Also, I saw a piece on TV the other day about the Little Ice Age. Vikings had thriving communities in Greenland which all died out because of the Global Cooling.
