Exclamation What Kind Of Oil Do You Guys Use?

Just bought a Polaris XC700SP and I was wondering what is the popular brand/type of oil is around here?

You guys use synthetic? Do you reccomend it or not? Should I be running only Polaris stuff. I just bought it and the oil light has been on for a while. I figured this would be a good opportunity to try a new oil. The guy was using synthetic oil in it before he sold it to me. Forget what brand, something like "Torque" or something?

Klotz full synthetic. Smells like the racetrack when it runs too!

This year I'm using Motul Synthetic. The sleds I just purchased always had synthetic in them from the previous owner. I asked my sled tech what he thought of synthetic and he said that's all he uses in his own sleds and he highly recommends it. He says it keeps internals much cleaner and protects better than conventional. Hopefully he knows what he's talking about
The one sled I just got also had an oil light that was staying on. He at first thought it could be an injector. Turned out to be sending unit. Important item to have working properly!

I use the Fowler Extreme! No problems with it, even with the power valves and the price is right!

Amsoil Intereceptor, had good luck with it and I can get it cheaper than OEM APV oil.

X2...............recommended for engines with power valves. Replaced the valves on my 500 & the old ones were as clean & free as can be after 2800 miles!!

I've run the standard Polaris stuff in all my sleds (since 1990), sold the XLT's with 6,000 miles each, 500 SKS with over 6,000, the Lite with 3,500. never had any issues, always ran fantastic. Been running it in my 97 for over 5,200 miles now, and the motor is still very clean. I see no reason to change or try something different.
