Type of material for P-85

What type of metal is the P-85 clutch made of?

Aluminum 6061?

I would be surprised if it was 6061, since that alloy is used more for machine-ability. If I was to guess, I would think it's 2024.

I would guess a 9mm is made of steel and plastic, oops composite and steel.

I want to try and weld an aluminum tuber onto the clutch to help balance the engine.

On the back side of a cat secondary there are screw holes to hold a wind screen on! You could possibly just add a bolt and lead washer to the point needed!

Balance the engine by adding weight to the clutch?? Being that there is no means of positive location (keyway), how will you keep it oriented on the crank in the future (after removing it)?? How did your engine become so imbalanced that it must be balanced externally??
