Black dissipates heat more evenly compared to silver/chrome.

ceramic cleans up with a cloth. ceramic coatings are found of two stroke dirtbikes where the pipe is exposed to mud. the ceramic, being shiny, has a smooth surface making it harder for mud etc. to cling on. so originally, ceramic coating was used for weight savings where mud is being slung on the exhaust.

but in a sled, your engine bay will stay clean as long as nothing breaks. so what should you buy, ceramic or the black coating? well thats up to you. all my snowmobile pipes are black. my dirtbike and gas powered remote control cars have ceramic pipes.

Black paint = rust (in time)
ceramic = bling (clean)....also retains heat inside the pipe which will give better performance.

The ceramic also keeps under-hood temps down some, resulting in less melted hood parts. Keeping the pipe at operating temp is key for a two-stroke, the pipe is "tuned" to the operating temp of the pipe. If the pipe cools, performance suffers. Ceramic looks cool, but is also very functional.

Oh you would be fine not overheating, that isnt a factor.. Ceramic coating, if you can afford it, is the way to go.
