How to pass the summer

Anyone got any good tips or methods on passing the summer waiting to snowmobile? I've been riding quad alot lately and it doesnt seem to do it for me. I would probably consider giving what a man treasures most for a chance to go snowmobiling right now if the opportunity arrised.
(not really, but its getting pretty close to that.)

Try jet skiing. A lot like snowmobiling.

That's pretty desperate.

Interesting topic. I broached this subject a couple of times myself on my blog (see link in profile if interested). Wish I had an answer for you, but I don't. I can't get into quads much, either. They're ok for a little while, but dusty, hot, and too much like driving. Just not a sled. The best I've been able to do is sit in the AC and READ about sledding.

Interesting comment about the jetskis, too. I've never tried it but often wondered. And I asked that question on my blog, too. Part of the problem with summer, though is that sledders don't usually like the heat!

In the end, I think I'm better off spending the warm months earning money to support my winter addiction! BTW--the sledmaine site has a counter--140 days left til winter!

I know! Build a minibuggy and put the sled engine in it for summer use, then put it back in the sled for winter

Even though we get 8 months of sledding season , we get boared too. Me and my friend took the skis off his old 12 horse Elan and put little air compressor wheels on it. The thing is awesome. He took the muffler off so it's really loud. Plus the windshield, hood, seat, and all cosmetic things are taken off. We just put a couch cushion seat on it and bomb around on the roads on the gravel piles, riding double. Pretty fun.

When I sell my first book and get really rich I'm buying a spider (spyder?). Not a Polaris, but they do look like fun! Guess I should start writing...
My 4 year old did promise to buy 2 when he gets big--1 for him & 1 for me. (tear, sniff, sniff) We've instilled such good values in him!

In this heat, I don't really think too much about sleds. I'm too busy on the lake fishing for walleye. Use to have a quad. But I sold it to buy a truck.
When the NFL and NHL seasons begin. Thats when I start getting ready for snowmobiling. And the Hall of Fame game was this past weekend. So its time for me to get my a$$ in gear.

Try to find mud for the truck or 4 wheeler. Other than that wish and prey for winter!
