c&a skis? (for trail riding?)

thinking of the adv or the razor ski's - but concerned about: steering input (ripped my sholder/elbow, hasnt been same since), and too much grab in front, not enough in rear (no studs)

anyone have any experience with either?

Its not the ski that makes too much grab in front, its the carbides.. Go for the skis, they are great, make the sled a whole different animal (much better then stock skis). Just get a set of like 6'' carbides and you will be fine!

my fav ski's are the ski-doo FLEX ski's(on my 93 plus) and the ski-doo precision ski's) on my 92 plusx.... the precision ski's work AMAZING no darting at all the flex ski's dart a bit but are very good as well.

Simmons are similar to precision/flex right? Carbides on the outside?

Did those do well on powder? and have you ever had any issues with the 2 carbide setup?

My buddy and his girlfriend both run c&a skis on their pro-x's and think that they are great skis on and off trail.

pushing meaning sloppy steering. Ie, current dualies (ac version) i have will push the front end in the twistys. Doesnt turn when you need it to, and sometimes scares the hell out of me 40+mph

if you get the skis and the 6" carbides, you shouldnt have any push into the corners. if your worried, get longer carbides. but since you dont have studs, you dont really need 8" carbides. i think you'll be fine, and like the new setup.

If you have 6 inch carbides and no studs, and it still is pushing in the corners, you do not have enough ski pressure.
Let a little off the front of the skid adjustment to put a bit more weight on to the skis.

yeah - i have poked a hole in the limiter to help put a little more up front and crack on the whatchamacallit.

I cant adjust front shocks to make them a litte stiffer, but i think my biggest problem was the ac stock dual carbides. I "think" i have a ZR Ski on it (or a crossfire, i have heard 2 opinions); but the carbide wasnt really grabbing.

I plan this winter on trying 3 sets:

Studboy duece bar (its a dual shaper), im thinking 6"
Arctic cat offerset duals
Woody's single
Woody's Doolies

Unless I am amazingly impressed with the duece, i will try them all, and post back my findings on this.

I know a friend that hated his doolies.
