ill say skidoo (surprised lol?). but most of the brands make a very good product i would say. i think the rev chassis did tons for newer snowmobiles, and the new chassis seems to be a major improvement. thats not to say the other brands havent contributed anything, its just one reason i see skidoo being on top.

well...if you wanted my opinion
Yamaha - best at copying the redline and incorperating it into their design.
Skidoo - best bumble bee sticker package
arctic cat - best marketing campeign
polaris - best in the garage.

I've always ridden Doo, but I'm very impressed with the new Cats and Yammis. Polaris better get their heads out of their a$$ or they are going to be in trouble engine tech-wise.

1st - Polaris, T-2nd - Skidoo and Yamaha, 4th - Arctic Cat
That's just my opinion, just like everyone else's ones. I guess just over the years not just the new ones. I always see Polaris out performing the others. Older Doos and Yammis are indestructible. Skidoo's new chassis very good. I saw an Apex 1000 with a turbo flying around last winter, it was the wickedest thing I've ever seen. I'm not much for AC Most of them that I see are seized up and the others have bad performance and they're always breaking down.

It doesn't look like we have any Yammi fans here? Do they not make good machines anymore?

they do make good machines, imo. the one down side is they've switched to an all 4-stroke line up. they may have a leg up on the competition if all selds are required to go 4-stroke in the future...but at this point they're standing alone.
i think there new phazer is going to be the hot sled this next season

Are you saying 4-strokes is the reason they're not popular?

skidoo is the best of course!
just messin...I think everyone has something good going at this point and so now its just down to the riders prefrence of sled....whether it be a 2 stroke or 4 or yellow or green lol
I was not very impressed with the yami's to tell the truth but the more I rode them the more they grew on me and I cant say ive been impressed with poo's at all but I have been impressed with the cat's
but im a ski-doo guy through and through

I agree...right now I dont think the 4 strokes have what the 2 strokes do....my skidoo 670 would kill my buddies apex 1000 off the line... but he would eventually come back and pass me
they just dont have the throttle response that a 2 does
but all sleds will eventually be 4 strokers and yami has a huge advantage at this point so when that day comes we all know who's gonna be on top...for a while anyway

04 Viper 700- VG for my aggressive riding style, needs some suspension improvements, nicely put together sled. All sorts of power, cuts well into corners.
02 MXZ(A) Very nice all around sled, better ride then the Viper. Not finished as well
02 MXZ(X) Love this sled.Once again stiff ride fits my style.
03 XCSP 700. Probably the best suspension of the bunch but I need to do some more adjustments to it. Clean and very smooth transmission
Sorry, not cat in the family.
I compare the Yammy to an F1 or Indy Car whereas the Doo's are Nascar all the way.

no, i didnt say that...what i was illuding to is the fact they did a whole line up face lift to help promote their sleds. in a few years, other sled manuf. (i think) will follow suit.
for example, hendrick motorsports tested the sh|t out of the COT. Other teams didnt, for the fact that they didnt think it would be as instrumental this year. Well, look who has won pretty much every COT race this year - Hendrick...(and most of the races in general)

I mis-understood.. why do you think then is the reason Yammi's are last in popularity?
I look at their sled and it's well built (like their motocycles) and have very little mechanical problems.

here is my 2 cents worth.. i like yammi's but when you look around{snow cross adds ect} you see polaris, cat, skidoo. and i think people dont hear enough about yammi's to really buy them.and when they went to tripples and then to four strokes people just like the crisp response of the 2 strokes and they where out. BUT when the comp all go to four strokes yammi's will be the top dog again. like i said just my 2cents worth

he didnt ever say anything about popularity...he has his own preference and you have yours and you need to leave it alone...stuff like this always starts a fight...atleast pi500 left it alone to avoid the fight...but your tryin to start one by posting this and assuming way to much

who's starting a fight? nobody is fighting here?? It's an on-going discussion where everybody is expressing their own opinion.
