another question on skidoo mxz 583

have a 98 mxz583 when you punch it on take off it goes straight to 8000 rpm and doesnt move much after that but it seems top speed is about 98 mph does anybody know how to adjust the rave motors on them and can help me out so i thought i should have more top end it seems great power at take off and mid range

SOunds like it's right where it should be. 100 is about right for a 583.

thanks smallengineguy sounds like its time for a bigger sled than so do you know much about the 600HO i ride with friends and they all have 700s just want to keep up

Muncher, if you're new to the sport you might want to keep the 583 for a season or two! 98 MPH is pretty quick and you can get into a lot of trouble real fast at that kind of speed if your new.

Just my 3 cents worth!!!

don't expect the stock 583 to get anymore than 100 mph in that chassis.
if you want more speed, buy a bigger sled.
that sled will leave any polaris xlt or xcr 600 in the snowdust but it will not run with a 700.
