I've heard they like to use a lot of fuel.
A friend of mine just found two '98 Polarises new in the crate. They were two different models. I can't remember which was which, but one of them was a 600 (triple?). He paid 2000 for one and 1800 for the other.
The one you are looking at is a decade old and used. It might pay for you to dicker a bit. Look them over for wear on the track, condition of the belt, slide wear, etc. Have you got a friend that knows sleds that could go look it over with you?
If you put in a general locale - like central Minnesotea or whatever - you might get one of the guys on this board to go look with you.
My friend and I are both Polaris fans. You will get others that have brand loyalty for the other brands as well. It seems that most Polarises don't need a lot of fixing as long as you don't hit something.
Any of you guys that wrench on them for a living have any opinions.
(My Storm is supposed to be a time bomb waiting to blow. The 800 triples were a bit problem prone, but so far so good with mine - knock on wood).
