Sad to report another snowmobile death just down the road from me

Snowmobiler cited stump hazard

Another death that could have been prevented. I was riding right near there the day it happened.

thats sad, but dont you think he should have remembered the thing was there since he complained about it that much? we all avoid hazards known to us when we ride, pay attention

He should have known where it was, but i guess thats what comes with riding at night, you sometimes lose where you are at.

Horribly Ironic. Although it's tragic, it's completely moronic. The guy knew it was there!!! I'll give him credit for the fact that it was night and he might have lost his bearings, but does nobody in that area own a chainsaw? Stop complaining, go order a pizza, call up your buddies, and go hack the damn thing down to the ice.

I say now that you can walk to it, just get some gas and burn the thing. If you've ever been to the area though, you'd understand the problem they have with driftwood. It is everywhere. Floats down the river, gets to the lake and just gets stuck. Makes it difficult to boat, and snowmobile. But I do agree, these people just need to get out there and do it themselves, instead of just complaining all the time
