Ratio of trucks/trailers to cars this morning

On my way to work this morning there was nearly 8 trucks with trailers on for every one car I saw. Man I hate working Saturdays! Everyone's going up north since we've had a week straight of 40+ degree weather, but not all the snow's gone so I'm still in a good mood.

Well, we got your cold weather. It was -16 this morning, -33 with wind chill. We've got a couple of inches left on the ground, but it's a bit cold for my taste.

I'm surprised you got that weather in AK! It's supposed to be below 0 every night next week here.

It's actually not unusual this time of year. We get a jetstream up from Hawaii that will send us into the 40s for a week or two, but then the arctic air pushes back down and sends us into negative temps and high winds. But anchorage had a record high for feb 1st at 48, we had 55 as a high yesterday. I was running around in my shorts!
