Exclamation [gloves] winter riders needed bad!

first post so stick with me. If this is the wrong place please let me know.

I do not own a snowmobile nor plan too but figured you guys would know the most about snowmobile gloves.

I ride a motorcycle everyday to school about 20min and on bad weather days i have two scooters i take. It's about 10degrees out in illinois and my old gloves i have just aren't cutting it.

I tried motorcycle gloves and unless i get heated ones non of them work. And since i ride something different everyday i would rather stay away from heated.

So would snowmobile gloves keep my fingers warm for a 20min ride in 10degree weather with no shield? Any links to what i should get?

This is the only thing that looks good to me so far.

Hope you guys can help. Thanks

I wear thinner gloves on my sled than I do on the bike. No heated grips or wind deflection. check out this post http://www.snowmobileforum.com/new-m...ghlight=gloves

First mittens are warmer than gloves. Second get a set of gauntles for the bikes. They are like insulated bags that go over the bars. Second you could get a pair of batery operated socks? or use the heat pads!

Since i ride a different thing every day i don't want to mess with buying 3 different gauntlets to cover the hands. And since i do this at least 2 times a day(there and back) i dont' want to keep wasting money on one time use heat pads. or spend tons of money on the expensive heated gloves. Plus my scooters probably can't hold a charge for long with them plugged in if any.

I just need a good pair of gloves. Any suggestions?

The ones I use in extrem conditions are gortex mitens with thinsulate glove liners. You should look into the gauntlets
they just go over the bars and tie on, one pair and you would be good to go! I live in North Central IL and I have some if you want to try them! PM or E-Mail me and I can hook you up!

I would suggest any gloves with Gore-tex in them. That stuff is super warm and wind resistant. Very thin and light weight as well. Beware of price though, a good pair will cost you a decent buck! Most sled dealers will carry something like that or if you have any aftermarket distributors around they would be able to help you out too. By the way you really should give those gauntlets a try. I have seen guys use them and not even wear mits on the inside!

I prefer leather gaunlets with thinsulate - fairly pricy - good to sub zero temps though.

I ended up getting a pair of Scott snowmobile gloves from a local store. They are 50% better are keep my hands warm to about 20degrees. Any lower then that i need to probably take my car anyway since the bike doesn't start that cold anyway.
