Polaris Recoil Starter ???

Okay, so we have a 96 indy sport touring 440, and we have none of the starter parts except for the housing and the spring inside of it. Being that it's a fan cooled, it's been a challenge finding a used starter with the same housing. I was wondering if it's possible to purchase another recoil starter and change all the internal parts into the one we have. THANKS!!!

Go to the misc parts section of this forum, then click on parts links here. There are a TON of links to used parts sites there.

There aren't that many parts to a recoil....why not just buy the parts you need to complete it. They are probably relatively inexpensive.
