1998 Ski doo Help

i just bought a 1998 ski doo formula plus 660 and am having troubles starting her up,,the motor was just rebuild a week ago and it is almost im possible for me to pull it over,,any ideas on starting tips would be appreciated..Im only 15 and dont know anything about sleds

I assume you mean a 670. They are pretty hard to pull over, but remove the belt first and try it. The belt may be binding up.

im brand new at sleds,,and how would i go about removing the belt,,is it something i could do myslef
If so would i have to buy a bigger belt or what

you need to spend a few days here reading........ does the motor turn over? or is it just tough for you to pull it?

If the tool kit came with the sled (which it should have), there is a T shaped tool that looks like a bolt with a hinged handle on it. Screw this into the hole near the center of the secondary cluth (the bigger one not attached to the motor) and it will spread the clutch sheaves far enough apart to slip the belt off.

The 670's are a tough motor to pull over. Considering it's a fresh rebuild and the rings havn't been broken in, it will only make it harder. How tall/heavy are you?

Like uper said, read the material here and soak it up like a sponge. Also looking over micro-fiche exploded views will give you a good idea of how some of the parts work.

****, it probabbly just has tons of compresssion, dont forget to take it easy and work in the fresh rebuild, or it can jsut blow up again.
