why don't we have winters like this anymore???

Yea, I was there in late August this year and I couldn't imagine how cold it would have to be to freeze that much moving water! Absolutely insane! And I wonder what happened when it all started to melt! That would have been an awesome site I bet!

Nothing to do with Niagara Falls, but I was watching our weather forecast awhile ago. In Feb. 1936 in Parshall, ND there was a temp. recorded of -60, the all time low for ND. In July of the same year, Steele, ND recorded a temp. of 121 above, the all time record high for ND.
