Best belt to buy...

I just went to my Skidoo dealer and found out that a belt for my MXZ is going to be $100 ! I started searching around the Royal Distributing site and found a couple of different belts. Are Carlisle Ultimax 3 belts good? I have seen them advertised before. They are $30 less then the Skidoo belt. Should I just stick with the Skidoo belt? Just lookin to save a few $$$. Thanks

Is the Ski-doo part number you are looking for 417300127?
If you are I have a brand new Ski-Doo belt that I could sell you for $61.00 + shipping and depending on where you are located would be around $5-9. Let me know. You can email me at promtrsp@yahoo.com

I have used the carlisle ultimax belts om my F7 with good results. I don't know about Ski-doo's but I would assume it would work well.

Excellent! Maybe I should just order one for myself then! Saving $30 always is a good thing. Pays for a tank of gas!

Also, do the numbers on my Ski-doo belt match the numbers on the Ultimax belt? I had trouble getting the right belt from my dealer before. It seemed they put the wrong belt on it when it was originally set up. They had the clutches set to the length of that belt then when I got my replacement the numbers were different and I ended up having to take it in and have them re-allign the clutches to fit the new belt.

If you do some home work you can figure out the belt by demention, and I can sell you a ultra or a max pretty cheap.
First look up the belt you have lets say it's 1.375 wide and 46.685 long I can them match that real close to several belts depending on $$.The adjusting of the belt is the important part, this should be done for ANY belt! Better belt life, better exceleration, batter top end!

I bought an Ultimax 3 and the guy at the shop told me they are warrantied for life under normal use. I bought it becuase of the high recommendation from other sledders then found out they have that warranty.

I use whatever I can find for my JD, since John Deere doesn't make any parts for my sled anymore. All of my buddies use the Carlisle belts with no problems whatsoever. They're great belts.

They used to have a full parts line for every sled they made, until they stopped making sleds.

I've used nothin but Carlysle belts on all my sleds. They're very affordable, and they are a good long lasting belt.

Kawasaki made the motors. I believe John Deere still made parts for anything on the sled, and I also believe that they made parts. Look on ebay and you'll see sled parts by John Deere.

Like this...

eBay Motors: John Deere Snowmobile NOS Foot Tread 76 Liquidator Fire (item 250077356242 end time Jan-31-07 17:42:43 PST)
