Egads, I'm old. Don't even know them groups. I listen to Brian Setzer,SRV,George Thorogood,Grand Funk. Last CD I bought was Collective Soul's greatest. Them and Sound Garden are about as new as I can get. Listen to some of the stuff my son likes and it start's out good, then I get a headache. That classifies me as ancient, don't it? I can't forget Skynard and Allman Bros either.

Ya , it might do that if you're doin' some aggressive stuff. I like to on occassions but only with one earplug in. Same goes for the bike. Actually illegal on the scooter but with only one earplug in, I can still maintain my hearing senses. May sound a little strange sometimes depending how the tunes are produced. Haven't found a way to get both channels to one side and my mp3 doesn't have a mono mode. I carry portable speakers with me to entertain the gang at pit stops.

I am singing the music in my head whether or not I am listening to it, so it really doesn’t make a difference. It does preoccupy you a little at crossroads and if you come to a stop it is annoying to have to reach in your clothes to turn it down so you can listen and talk to your friends.

I tried it once, had to turn the music up so loud to hear it that I got a headache and my ears were ringing after a little bit.
Doing more damage to my hearing that it is worth to have the tunes. I can play back tunes in my head anyway.

I think its a pretty cool idea but i have enough voices in my head telling me what to do haha. To be honest id rather lug a few extra plugs or some tow ropes to get my buddies home than my ipod. Cool idea though my girl has thought of it but i like to hear whats going on under that hood

I use a little MP3 player and love it. I would have to say that Rage against the Machine is my altime favorite for sledding. STP a close second.

Cool idea though my girl has thought of it but i like to hear whats going on under that hood That's why I only use one earplug. It isn't cranked up to the point where it actually drowns out important input. Just some "white noise" to to keep those "voices in my head" form talkin' me into doin' something really stupid
