HomeWork Sorry To make a new thread for this guys lol
Zaccardelli's resignation raised three key issues:
Is better oversight needed for Canada's federal police force to prevent future bungling
who will replace Zaccardelli, and
whether a new system is needed for choosing a new commissioner to avoid the possibility of political influence on the position
The question of who will replace Zaccardelli is a complicated one.
Zaccardelli's successor is most likely to be a deputy commissioner. There are currently seven deputy commissionaire: Harper Boucher in the Atlantic region; Pierre-Yves Bourduas in the Central region; Peter Paul Gauvin in corporate management; Tim Killam in operations and integration; Peter Martin in national police services; Beverley Busson in the Pacific region and W.M. Sweeney in the Northwest region. Busson, who has run RCMP operations in B.C. since 2001, Killam, who's in charge of the force's criminal intelligence division and Bourduas are considered to be key contenders for the job.
