Hi-beam?

Hey, when my sled is running and on low beam the display is lit up fully and bright. When I engage high beam, the display gets dim and there is a delay for the high beam to come on. When high beam does engage it is very dull and yellow colored instead of a bright white. What could be wrong??

i would check your wires, especially the ground side, sounds like you have a poor ground, may have to take some bolts out and clean them making sure you have good contact.

Both UP and RJ have valid points. The only other long shot I could give you is check that the bulb it's self it could have actualy blown the high filiment and re arc welded it's self to the stand off. But like I said a long shot.

uhhhhh, this may sound a little stupid, but isnt there 1 ground? I dont think that there is a seperate ground for the high and the low. Its a simple two pole throw actually, right?

For the headlight, it is a 3 wire setup. 1 ground /2 power wires.

Doesnt seem to matter what rpm its at. On my older 500 the lights are dim at idle but get the rpms around 3 and its normal, this one doesnt change.
