small end goes into the hole on the lever, you have to twist the cable around so it fits thru the slot in the lever and ends up in the middle, thee should be a C clip that goes over the slot on the plastic barrel on the other side when its in to hold it there

so...where does the black plastic part go????

I follow the part with the ball, and can see where a c-clip goes on the black plastic part, but not sure where...?

the pic shows your lever right there, it pushes thru the hole, the cable needs to be twisted so its down and slides thru the slot in the lever.

if I understand this correctly.....the black plastic should slide horizontally thru the 2 holes in the oiler lever arm, with the ball in the middle, and a c-clip on the end (makes sense).....but for some reason it dont seem to fit (the holes seem to small for the black plastic part)....could I have the wrong cable....again? Or did someone change the lever. ? If someone could please take a pic, I would be in debt for life....this sled has not run for 2 years beacuse of this stupid cable.

Good news, my carbs finally are working with this new cable, just not my oiler now...with the other cable it was just the opposite.

thanks for the help.

Bad idea- let's get this fixed right, not rigged up.It's obvious you have the wrong cable for the pump arm pictured. What kind of numbers are on the cable? I'm sure there are some on it somewhere. Exactly which 1991 Formula is it you are working with?

this cable is from ski-doo, most likely the right one, you must have some kind of abortion on your hands. if you hit that arm with a drill bit it will just twist it up in a little ball. i used to have a pump laying around i broke a couple years ago, tomorrow i'll look and see if i can find it, maybe i can send you that arm.

kinda some good news......

I did end up drilling the hole out.

It went just fine.

Fits perfect now, and works great.

I still bet I got the wrong arm somehow like you said.

Thanks again, sorry I was freaking out.
