Cool good point.

Yes very well put, stay with your groups, and if you do have a couple of beers, think, and let 1 of the buds ride you back, if you can't ride anymore. to all the new riders out there. NEVER RIDE ALONE. It's a great sport, lets keep it fun & safe!

Making this thread here is like preaching to the choir. How many replies of "yeah you're right" did you need to feel satisfied?

The sport is inherently dangerous, people are going to get hurt. You posting on a message board is not going to cure stupidity.

I agree. I'm sure we all need to be reminded from time to time, but I've got a feeling that the ones that REALLY need to be reminded are the ones that can't see the potential outcomes of their actions before they ride like meatheads, or worse....they just don't care.

I agree with that fact that people that are active on this board, and take time to really look at the sport from every angle aren't the ones that need to be reminded. But guess being a brand new this season sledder I kind of assumed that you don't really go out riding alone, or (at least when you are going to be hot rodding) but threads like this are just making it more evident to me that going out by myself would just be kinda dumb.

So I dunno I think its a decent point

The point of the 1st post is fine. The second post by the author is insulting to everyone on this board.

Because of the lack of replies we are not responsible and do not respect property owners?? This doesn't have anything to do with the original post.

Al, wants his praise and attention for being mr. saftey and when he didn't get it he had to lets us know how much better he is than the rest of us.

ok for 1 you go out and ride you are taking a risk you might live or die i figure if iam going to die iam going to do it with the sport i love to do or i can stay at home being bored. all of us here know the dangers of the sport the new people taking up the sport should never ride alone if i do ride alone i take it easy then if someone is riding with me i ride alot harder. i can agree with him but you only live once live it and try to be safe. hope i made since. nick

i was one who read the first post and did not reply. the reason was because i felt the post was good, had all the right things in it and i didnt have anything else i felt i needed to add to it. in no way did it mean i was trivializing it, took it any less serious than intended, ir dismissed it. it also reminded me of the talk i have with my wife before EVERY first ride of the year, it goes like this.....

Honey, this day is starting another new sledding season, you know this is what i love to do, you know its dangerous and i ride hard. remember if anything happens to me i am doing what i love, it was most likely 100% my fault, if someone else was involved it was most likely more than 50% my fault. in no way was it the sleds fault, its still an in-animate object and cannot be blamed in any way. no-one needs to get sued. I LOVE YOU BYE

my wife has heard this same speech, with all the same items in it for the past seventeen years, she always listens to it, never likes it, but i know she loves me and understands it completely.

PLEASE ride safe, you can ride hard and still be on your side of the trail.

Thats an awesome speech. I'm sure thats followed up with something like,

"Well don't you love me too? Be safe so you can come back and love me too"

Heh

OK, It's raining outside again, so I feel like saying something like:

"Lets hope we even have a season!"

But I won't, cause I've been *****in about it quite a bit already... And I don't even know what I'm missin... next year will be worse :P
