Anyone listen to music when they ride? Seems like it would be a good idea on some of the longer runs. I was wonderin' what worked and maybe a heads-up on what didn't.

I would never ride with music . It distracts you from driving , plus you can't hear that nice 2(or 4) stroke sound as well .

ha ha That would be like standing right in front of the PA speakers at a SLAYER show. Two stroke motors are on the top of the list at the ear doctors for damaging your hearing. Putting loud music over that would be ear piercing

Dont get me wrong. Those communicaters do work good.
But its not blasting in your ear constantly either thats all.
Try it out and let us know how it works

i wouldnt even think of riding with music. i do use a two way radio with an ear piece and mic. tho. its not a constant noise, and u can easily hear it over the motor when someone is talking.
i love the sound of my 580 at high rpms, its almost orgasmic

I don't ride with music either...i mean...you're never bored on a sled, always seeing something different, and its always nice to hear your machine. If something is starting to crap out, you might be able to catch it before its too late!

I ride with music on longer runs. I don't crank it and I can still here the motor. It's kind of like elevator background music.
The only problem I've found is keeping the earphones in your ear, and it sometimes physically hurts your ear if it's not adjusted right.
Music destracts you from driving? Why do they put radios in cars than?

no music for me, i like to just listen to the motor spinnin. my bro on the other hand rides w/ his i-pod attached to his head. he on the other hand does not have a problem w/ it hurting his ears (from the earpiece its self). i too asked him how loud he puts it at, and he said its more of background "noise".

i use Sony - Clip-On In-Ear Stereo Headphones - MDR-J10/Black
they dont hurt my ears and cancel out background music nicely for 15 bucks. best of all, when u put the helmet on they dont slide off, once they are on, they stay on ur ears. i dont even go full blast with these and i cant hear any background noise. FYI, its illegal to wear any hearing impearing device in massachusetts on any motor vehicle(aka headphones, but i still do

I like listening to music while riding but the only problem is I only have a 100' extension cord. I guess I could go out and buy another one then I could ride twice the distance.
