HJC helmet visors?

Hey everyone, I just bought a CL15 solid helmet with electric visor. I love the helmet HOWEVER I think it's too small, it's real tight on my head and when I tried to take it off I think I just about pulled my eyes out of their sockets and ripped my eyebrows out, they still burn a bit . However, I don't plan on sending it back, I think it'll fit my wife just fine and I'm going to order a CL15 solid in the next size up.

What I was wondering was this:

I bought this first helmet (XL) with an electric defroster because I will be doing 95% of the driving on the sled so I thought I'd get it and avoid blindness. I need to order another helmet but don't want to pay to have TWO defroster styles. Can I just take my current shield off and put it on an XXL? Or does each size have it's own sized visor? Will an XL visor fit an XXL helmet of the EXACT same make\model?

Nevermind guys, the company just called me back and let me know they are interchangeable as long as it is not on a kids size and within the same model .

Now I just need to figure out where to find a clip to plug into the accesory plug on my cat.

Small helmet dude . Wait till you put that baclava on .Your gonna fell like mike tyson put ya in a headlock. That 'll give you a headache and a half.
Those shields should be universal to diff size helmets.I know my cat helmets are. As long as its the same style helmet.
BTW. Careful the new helmet doesn't give your wife a headache.............We all know what the wifes headache prevents

Hehe she knows the cure . I think it'll fit her well, we measured up each other and I was in the "XL" range directly from the HJC site and she was in the "L" range. Since the XL is a bit tight on me I think it'll work fine for her and I'll order up an XXL. This is EXACTLY why I only ordered 1, so I wouldn't have ordered 2 and had to send both back

EDIT: It is a very nice helmet though, I'm glad I went this route

The CL-15 is the helmet I picked out at the Novi Snow Show!. I like the Dragon model.

Just a question seeing as we are on the subject, how many of you ride with a heated visor, and what are the benifits besides the obvious, or the downfalls. I am looking at buying a new helmet within the next couple of days, and I dont kow if I should go heated or not.

At real cold temps (-0*), unheated visor will frost up even with a breath deflector.......heated one prevents that. Can't think of any downside, just like any other visor when warmer out.

I've had that happen once .I had to stop ,take the shield off , and put it in the engine compartment to thaw out. While my buddies thought it was funnie. That was the LAST time that happened. It was time to convert.

heated visors are slightly tinted and i personally find that annoying, but less annoying than frost forming on the inside of my shield

btw, i personally think HJC sizes are tight, so if you wear a wool baclava, id go at LEAST 1 up (like you were thinking).

mine doesnt fit with my microfleece bac, so i wear a 1/2 mask and its annoying as all hell (3xl, big shoes = big head = big ..head.. right?)
