rear suspension
Ok i had an idea for the rear suspension. I have a polaris and it as the front shock on the rear suspension with the spring over it. The back shock is just a shock, could you put another shock with a spring over it to make the sled sit higher. My brother said you couldn't but i was wonder if you could and if you couldn't why. Thanks

The suspension is probably at the top of it's movement as it is. Adding a spring probably won't help much.

Adding a spring to the back shock will not do anything because the two springs on either side do excatly what the center spring would do. Some suspentions are made without the two springs and just the one in the middle shock (ie. M-10) but adding a spring will just stiffen the ride alot.

The rear skid shock usually has quite a bit of travel. I would think adding a spring would mess up that travel. Not to mention - the manufacturer has the suspension tuned for optimum performance. If adding a spring was a good thing to do, they would have done it already.

Could drop the rear mount to a lower hole. Again, that messes up the geometry of the sled's design.
Why do you need it to sit higher?

I swapped the whole suspension out of a 99 Mach Z to my 92.
