Let the work begin!

On the 92 Mach 1, that is. I brought it up to the shop tonight. Installing a new primary spring to get the engagement RPM's up. Also picked a SC-10/2 out of a 99 Mach Z I'm going to fab into the Mach 1. Should bring the back end up 5 inches or so. Looks like it's going to be a fun project!

I got the SC10 all installed today, the sled looks AWESOME now! Brought the back end up over 8 inches. Twice the travel of the old PRS system. I'll take some pics of it and post them.

Seg I'd be real interested in some pics. If I don't buy a newer sled I'm gonna convert my m7 setup to an sc 10. Hoping all I have to do is find the different style brackets for the tunnel mount, what was involved for you?

I'll post them after I get the rear wheels in that I ordered. I had to move the rearmost mounting brackets up toward the front approx 4 inches and drill new front holes. I had to rebend the front L brackets from the old suspension and put them on the new,and swing them back so the front of the skid had enough clearance. That's about it!

Brought the back up around 8" or so and the travel is amazing! Ihad to drill out the rivets from the rear tunnel brackets and move them forward approx 3" (enough to align the front rivet holes in the tunnel with the rear rivet holes in the bracket). I re drilled new rivet holes in the bracket and riveted it all back together. I had to remove the L brackets off the front of the PRS unit, rebend them so the vertical segment was 1 inch shorter, then mount them in the tunnel approx 4" farther back. I also had to fabricate a cross shaft from the old PRS setup to mount as the top shaft of the SC10, but it works great now! I used 2 of the regular idler wheels and mounted the shaft in the existing holes in the mid point of the sled tunnel. It took about a day to do correctly.
