another clutch question

I searched around and couldnt find an answer so here it goes. I was going over my sled and cleaning the clutches before the season starts and noticed a lot of clearance between the sheeves of my drive clutch and the belt. I beleive my manual says it should be like 20 thousandths of an inch and mine is more like 1/8th of an inch when you put the belt tight against one of the sheeves. I put a new belt on and it was the same. The sled seems fine and and the clutch engages at right at 4000 rpm like it should. The bushings feel nice and tight but I dont know what could be worn that would cause this. It may be normal like I said it engages like it should.

If it works OK, the RPM's are right, and it isn't burning belts, I wouldn't overanalyze it.

If you prop the back end, does the track just start to spin at normal idle speeds? It should...

Ill have to see if the track moves when its propped up, I really dont think there is any way it could though with the clearance the belt has.

Stupid question... but, are you sure it's the correct belt?

I looked up the part number and it just shows it fits "Indys", its not model specific. I have always bought belts just by part number and havent given my dealer my model to see hwat they would give me. The number is 3211042. Do you have a way to confirm thats the correct one?
