Boarding helmets

I just got some older sleds for my wife and I. We won’t be riding very hard. We have skiing and boarding helmets. Has anyone had any experience using skiing or boarding helmets for snowmobiling? Any comments?

I think those are more for low speed impacts, falling, etc. I'd get an actual helmet to use. Don't skimp on your gray matter!

definately get a proper helmet, you wont want to see your wife with a serious head injury would you? think about that part of it, plus it will be extremely cold wearing that opened faced helmet like that while sledding.

I believe, in Michigan, helmet must be DOT approved!
