Mixing fluids ?

I have Arctic Cat gear lube, I never got a chance to put it in my old cat and Now I have a ski-doo. The chain case fluids in my doo are in need of changing. can I use my Arctic cat lube in my doo ? Also, right now I have a blueish 2 stroke oil in there, I think it was arctic cat 2 stroke oil. I got a gallon of doo 2 stroke oil, but it's a yellowish color. Can they be mixed ? Thanks.

From time to time you hear that people mix oils and such and are fine.

More often though, problems may arise. Don't mix fluids. Everything is innexpensive enough.

Ask yourself this question. Are you willing to possibly sacrifice your engine to save a few bucks?

What if I let the oil run until it's almost empty then fill the resivoir up with the new oil ? If not how can I drain the old oil out ? How do i drain my chain case ? I was outside looking and I don't see a drain or anything.

I guess I am confused. You currently have what you think to be Arctic Cat oil in the SD? If so, run it until it gets low, and then add the proper stuff

Still can't figure out how to drain the case. Any help would be appreciated. There is a hole under it but I got a light and I can't see a bolt, just black.

to drain the chain case you have to take the cover partly off if theres no bolt in the bottom, i would take it right off and make sure everything is good in there and retention the chain if its a bolt not a spring.

and for mixxing oils in the chain case, dont, drain and use new oil.

in the injector i would jusr remove the line off the bottom and put a new line on it and run it to a container, put the line back on and fill up, i wouldnt worry at all about whats in the lines, i just wouldnt mix it in the resevoir.

If you're gonna' do that, don't get air bubbles in the line!!
