HJC Electric Visor Review

Hey all, i just got an HJC electric visor. theyre a little bigger on the top than the stock double paned cl14

the biggest thing is its tinted slightly, but supposed to be clear. The tint is only between the heated elements (you can tell because outside the elements on the bottom/top you can see a clear/non tinted strip).

the biggest annoyance is since its a halfassed tint, the outside reflects my eyes, granted, i havent driven around in my car to try daylight conditions, but that could get annoying at night.

anyone else have problems like this with their shields? im a bigger fan of clear + sunglasses

My Zeus shield is fine. Believe it or not, my HJC cycle helmet visor (tinted) does it at night though.

Not really a tint, but an electrically conductive coating that heats up when current is applied to each side of the visor. Kinda' like a toaster!

I dont know about the tint your talking about, but HJC makes some damn good electric visors. MY g/f and I had HJC helmet and electric visors for five years no problems at all. Bought new cuz they were so scratched up at five years of abuse and neglect. Both bought Polaris stuff, made by lazer i think. Anyway, they both failed within the first riding season! Stick with HJC!!

Good to hear, I just ordered a HJC Solid CL15 black with electric visor. Hopefully it fits nice, if it does I'm going order a matching one for my wife
