Just bought an enclosed trailer.

It is a general box trailer ... 8.5 feet by 16 feet with dual axle, electric brakes new for $3950. What I did so far is waterproofed the floor with sealant ... then painted down some non skid paint. Non skid paint is paint with grit sand in it and dries uneven on the floor for traction. I was think to get a piece of lanolium but that might be too slippery. So .. the two questions are. Rail tracks .. plywood , plastic ot lenoleum flooring? Second question is the tie downs ... whAat brand is best or make my own?

I good idea for ski tracks would be to use some old slides. You may want to put some wood slats under them and screw them to the floor so yur carbides don't ruin the floor. For the track portion of your sled. I would suggest finding an old snowmobile track or 2, and screw that to the floor also if yur running studs on the tracks of yur sleds. I would get a set of 4 nylon ratchet tiedowns. I'm sure that there's cargo hooks installed in yur trailer.

Find an old plastic bedliner and cut it into strips for the skis to slide on. Cheapest way.

Unfortunately there are no used slides or tracks around Los Angeles. I was thinking to use an old bed liner .. junk yard or even some tractor (18 wheeler) trailer retread.

The trailer has 4 tiedowns ... one for each corner .. putting them 8 to 16 feet from each other. So I am thinking of using E Track (FECOI.COM: LOGISTICS TRACKS)

There are three type tracks (I know of) E Track, F track and L Track. E track is used in commercial applications. The track comes in 5 to 20 feet sections. About 2 to 3 dollars a foot. The restrictions to it are the way it is fastened to the trailer ( welded / bolted on) and the weight rating on the E clip / E strap. The track is rated to 15,000 psi and the straps are rated as low as 1,000 pounds to the limits of the track. Fasteners to the track clip in and cost 2 bucks for the 1,000 pound rated ones. Maybe too elaborte for a snowmobile but able to strap in any thing, car, cycle, cabinet, work bench, spare skis, fuel , bunks etc. Does it make sense?

For sled tiedowns, use recessed D rings and bolt through the floor.

Another thing you could have done for the skis is just to fasten some aluminum to the deck

Living in the city I find lots of scrap yards with aluminum and stainless steel.
Pay abot $2.00 a pound. Thinking of getting some for rock guard on the front.

Already picked up two full size truck bed liners for 35 bucks total price.

Loaded the 900 Poo 166 in the trailer. The sled sure takes up alot of room.

how about one inside, two outside (one each side), one rear shot, one front shot...and if you could a top and bottom. that would paint a good picture for everyone

haha j/k.

how about something general or whatever you have time for

Straddle a ditch and crawl underneath.
