2000 MXZ700?? Opinions?
Just checked out a 2000 MXZ700. Looks great, not a scratch on it. Sounds good too. How are these machines? What's a good price? It has just over 3000km (1850miles). Fast?

They are great, fast machines. Heavy (as any liquid cooled sled is) but they rip.

Not sure what that would be in US, but it sounds like a pretty good deal.

Great deal man! Especially with only 3000km on it! The 700 has some serious power! I'd love to see those pics!
Congrats on the purchase

$3000cdn is about $2600us.
Yeah I think it was a steal of deal. It's pretty much mint. The guy mostly used it for ice fishing trips and hadn't used it at all for 3 years.
I can hardly wait for winter.
But, will it keep up with my buddy's Switchback 800??

It may not keep up, but atleast it wont blow UP!
If it's been sitting for a while, make sure to drain the gas and clean the carbs. New plugs, new belt, check runners and sliders. Check the skid and suspension and grease everything to the hills!

Actually, doo a little work to it, and it will give a lot of sleds a run for the money.
Gear it down,
put a decent track under it,
clutch it,
lighten it up a bit.
Big John is the man to talk to if you are interested.
Sled Head Racing Website
in contests of my 700 against my brothers 800, it is whoever hooks up best will take the run. I feel I have a slight edge however with a more aggressive track.
You will love the sled. Awesome motor very reliable.
