Talking I think we have a new convert

Last saturday my Brother-in-law was over with the kids and of course they wanted to ride in the wagon behind the tractor. When I went out to the shop to get the tractor, my niece saw the snowmobiles in there and wanted to play on them. Since I was in there, I desided to start the '93 and let it run for a while. I wish that I had had my camera then. You should have seen the look on her face as it was running. She then climbed on and was sitting ther grinning from ear to ear. She asked me what each lever was for and I explained that the one that she had her hand on was the brake. She asked if it was ok to work it and I said OK, looke back here and watch the light come on when you pull the lever. Then she asked what the other one did and I told her that it was the throttle and thaqt was what made it go faster. Of course she wanted to squease that and I said OK. The look on her face as the engine reved up was priceless. She asked if we could take it out now and ride it, but I had to tell her no, as there was no snow and the grass was too dry. She is now reminding me that I promised her a ride on the sled when we get snow every time that I see her.

The niece is eight and her brother is three. Both of them want to get a ride on the sled this winter. I think that I have created a monster.

There you go! Now's the time to get them into it. They will love it forever if you do it now!

RJ,
Now you'll have something better to do than to sit on the computer all day!
Way to go!

I remember the first time I gave my daughter her first sled ride. She was 3 then, and we rode my old '69 skidog around the yard. I could here her laughing over the bog of the motor. She had a blast. Last year I got to take her on the trails with me, and I let her work the throttle with my thumb in between the lever, and the handle bar of course. She just about broke my thumb she mashed it hard. She has no fear so far. I have a '72 Yamaha GP 292 that she cals hers. Some day I'll gett it all fixed up for her to ride

I'm thinking that I will have to get a kid sized sled next just so that they can ride by themselves.

Well Pop is the kind of guy who takes the kids camping and hiking and even snowshoeing, so that there is a good chance that he might.

If not, I will get one myself.
