My 1st sled
hello all,i have decided to buy my 1st sled this year and would like to get some info.I'd like to buy my sled b4 the summer ends to keep the price down.I'm going to start off with a used machine, just don't really know where to begin. To start, i'm a big guy 6 foot 260,and i'm a speed junkie as i'm sure most of you are...so i'd like a sled that has the ability to become crazy fast even if it doesn't start off as the fastest....i like to do mods to machines so that they end up fitting my style. While i haven't rode a sled in years i have been involed in motocross for almost 20 years.any help would be great...thanks jack

What are you looking to spend, and how old/new do you want to go?

Welcome to the forums. Since you say your a speed junkie, I would look for something that's 600cc's or bigger. I would also say look for that in a twin cylinder ( easier on the wallet at the gas stations). All manufacturers have good decent sleds out now days. Good luck

I think all the manufactueres have good sleds out now. It's your preference. Although like SEG said, what are you looking to spend on a used machine?

If you want to go FAST, then the Mach Z is the way to go. I've got a 98 that absolutely scary screams, and you can find 2002's or so for that kind of money now.
