Many if you probably know by know but I have a 2007 Polaris IQ CFI sled and it happens to have the expensive fuel filter assembly. What are the symptoms of a fuel filter needing replacement? How often to change them?
You will lose performance, especially on the top end and potentially run into a lean condition if the filter gets plugged. The last one I put on my 07 was almost 80 bucks, so 52 would be cheap! There are a few guys that have cut the connections off an old filter and got a different automotive one that fits in the bracket and use hose clamps to secure the ends onto the automotive filter.. My luck, the clamps would come off and spray gas under pressure all over the hot engine.
Spendy little suckers they are. And the 07 is specific for that year only. 08's are cheaper. Lucky us, ehh?
You have a point! Although I have put many hours of work into this efi sled to get it running good! Still dialing it in. Everyday I find something that could be replaced or looked at it seems like.
