Who wins in these categories

Looking at picking up one of these sleds. Each of these are owned by the same guy, he's the original owner of both. (lucky bastard...I don't even have 1) Anyway, I know the Polaris has about 2,100 miles. He bought the Ski-Doo a couple months before so it has a few more miles, maybe 2400.

2002 MX-Z (700) Adrenaline
2002 XC SP (700)

Which sled is better in the following categories?

1) Bumpy/rough and windy trail riding
2) Deep powder riding
3) Hard packed, wide open roads (kinda bumpy)
4) Low end
5) Mid-range
6) Top speed

Was 2002 a good year for both these models?

Thanks a lot for any input...I appreciate it!

i own an 01' mxz 700 adrenaline and i love it! the 02's had a rear suspension upgrade and i believe they had standard RER (rotax electronic reverse). I really can't say much about the polaris since I have never had a ride on one but I can tell ya that my sled rides and handes awesome. I can only imagine that the suspension upgrade would help. It alson does well in the deep snow (well for a short track anyways). Lots of power, will likely be more than the polaris unless it has the VES valves. Honestly you wouldn't go wrong with either sled in my opinion.

My advice is to ride them both and then decide.

Miles don't mean as much as condition. You listed a wide range of conditions... I'd agree that riding them would be far better than taking anybody's advice.

One last comment: If this is your first sled, a 700 might be a little over-powered for a beginner. You might want to go with a 500-600 until you gain some riding experience. You'll save on insurance, staying below 600, too.

Both are good sleds. Ride them and decide! If you have snow..
