I'm going to buy a Cruser
I'm going to buy a motorcycle. I want a cruser type. I'm leaning toward a Yamaha V star. Any thoughts?

My friend had a VStar. He liked it a lot. They make 2 engine sizes on it, 600 and 1100 (I think). Very cool bike!

If this forum is only about sleds, why do you list a 73 454 Corvette in your signature?
I was only asking for an opinion regarding a new purchase and I thought some of the motorheads on this site would be of good help and as you can see, smallengineguy was helpful (Thanks SEG). I see posts of all type here and I didn't think this one would offened anyone..........

Just trying to use some "forum etiquette", that's why there are so many different subjects to choose from.

I'm thinking of the Yamaha because the Harley-Davidson's cost much more $$$. I would get a Harley though
Thanks for your input

How does HD resale value hold up vs Yamaha?? Although initial outlay for a Harley is greater, you would prolly get it all back later on down the road. Something to consider..........

I bid on this one thru ebay. It's 2004 V Star Classic. I was out bid, but the guy sent me an email for a second chance since the winner didn't come thru. My bid was $3,400. It has 5,590 miles

Nice little scoot there! The Yammie (Royal Star Tour Deluxe) is a BIG bike. Makes any Harley feel small. Not a beginers bike cause it weighs over 700 lbs. Besides, new they go for about $14,000. Pretty close to Harley's in price.
