There are some high elevations in AZ. My friendlived there, he said you could go from snow skiing to water skiing in 8 hours...

wow.... this would be my shangrila... a place where you have a CHOICE to ride a motorbike.. or go sledding.. in the same day
and to top it off, go desert riding with a KTM adventure 950 with a pack sack, beer, matches and a sleeping bag
oups, desert = no wood.. so no fire..
my god what is the world coming to
Fr0st

Nice! here in Greenland we have been begging for snow for the last 3 weeks!
In november we had a lot of nice snow, then suddenly the temperatur raised to +10c and it all melted away! I was horrified, since I got my first snowmobile in november and was really getting to like driving it..
Again in january we had great snow, but then 3 weeks ago we had a big storm so it all blew away and the temperature rised again, so that the little snow there was left got a really hard and iced surface..
at the end of march there will be a big sleddog race and "arctic circle race" ( a 3 day long race on skies ) - so everyone is really starting to worry that the snow wont come..
attached a image of how i looked like up here in january / febuary

That's exactly Arizona there. I could have rode my KLX in the AM and then drove 2 1/2 hrs north to Flagstaff(7000ft) and rode the sleds. The drawback to out here is the snow is absolutely unpredictable. Some years you may not ride at all and others you can get 3ft at one time. The winters in the desert are nice. warming to 70degrees in the afternoon. You leave wearing a t-shirt and get out at elevation hunting for a good jacket.....
