Alum. enclosed trailers......
How about some thoughts and opinions from those of you who haul a couple of mountain sleds in an enclosed aluminum trailer. Looking at the 7' wide models. We like the Renegade and the Wells Cargo so far. Thoughts????

The wife knows how much I paid for it. I think she's over it now. Since the Snow Show is over for the season, we'll be using it for all the motocross races this summer. I am going to finish off the inside, and plan on putting checkered tile on the floor.

Very nice. I'll have to see if they have distribution in the Pacific Northwest.

I need to get down to Carl's and talk to Struthers about sizing and all for the new sleds we are snow checking. We want a trailer long enough, but just that. We also will use it for dirt bikes, and Harleys, so it will get towed all year. I was thinking a 14' might do it, but that may not in retrospect.

21' is longer than I want. If I could carry three sleds, then I would have to deal with somebody else's freeloadin' sled half the time.......

Have you thought about just a two-place with a clamshell type cover?

What is the cost per foot for a enclosed trailer?
What is the difference in cost for a steel frame vs. aluminum?

Remember, aluminum is much lighter than steel, so it will cost a little less to tow!! So initial price is not the only consideration.
Happy shopping!

Steel prices are through the roof right now. You could probably take that to the scrap yard and get a few g's just on weight alone

I do, Remember, it's alot lighter than a steel trailer. Just under 2100 lbs. The permanent plate still is only $75.00. Will be pulling it with a Yukon.
