Done for the season

But not because of lack of snow. This last trip ended with a back injury that's put me out of everything for at least a week and don't know how long it's gonna hurt for. So I'm thinking the snow will be gone by the time I'm ready to go again, which sucks because I've got the snow and I can't use it now. Here's a quick clip of how it happened. Wasn't much of a jump but I landed weird I guess and here I am barely able to sit up after 2 days of ice packs and doctor visits. So Here it is

Yeah that really wasn't a huge jump. I guess something in your back just wasn't alligned right when you landed. It's kind of like getting out of bed and kinking your neck!!!

happened to me while sledding in december..

was out of sledding for a while.. my back is starting to be ok..

it was extrem riding ( i compensate the sleds limited deep snow capabilities by driving it in a "special" way )

had 2 co-workers with a JAG LT and a skandic WT 24 inch with me on that day and they were impressed to see that such old sled can still kick ass in the deep snow when driven properly...
and i hurt my back doing so.... i ain't getting any younger.

A herniated disc. I think I already tweaked it earlier in the day gettin myself unstuck and that jump was just what it needed to slip outta place. Nothin like being 23 and walking like a 90 yr old. But thanks for the good wishes guys, I'm ready to get back to normal!

There's some bad luck...I kinda did the same thing a month ago, hit a jump(not knowing how big it really was) and landed sitting down....and the rear shock was shot so it was a rough landing. My whole body, waist up, went numb for like 30 seconds....good times.

It looks innocent enough, but appears at that landing that you somehow slammed down on your tailbone instead of staying on your feet. Rather than your legs taking the shock, the the kinetic energy transferred directly from seat to spine. Ouch!

Nice video - beautiful surrounds - sorry you got hurt so badly though, of course.
