Angry Help!! Cat dropped in the Drink

My 13 year son went through the Ice (he's okay) on one of my sleds. He was on a ZR 500. The sled sat 12 feet below the surface for about 8 Hours. I have the sled home now What do I need to do before it's to late ? If it matters he did hit the kiill switch before they went down.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thank you

drain every fluid you can think of on it and replace them, don't forget the chaincase oil. make sure you drain the crankcase before trying to fire it. check the wiring and use some dielectric(sp?) grease on the connections. if i think of anything else i'll let you know. good luck!

Exactly. Remove the spark plugs and pull it over until it hurts...Drain the entire fuel system; tank, lines and carb bowls. Replace injector oil, and chaincase oil. Grease all fittings and you should be all set.
