Blown Stator in the 'Z!
I finally took the 98 Z apart today because I couldn't get it started and there were CHUNKS missing out of the stator it was arcing so badly...So, off to find a new/used one. At least it's the end of the season.....

that sucks, just got mine together today from last weeks deal, were grasping for the last bit of the season now huh?

I can fix it easily, but do I want to spend $75 for a used one, or $250 for a new one??? This really sucks.....

i just checked on ebay.. sux man there ain't any.
err why not wait till next autumn, that will give you time to find a good used one or a NEW one on ebay maybe
the season is screwed anyways

I know how you feel the mpem went out on my MXZ 700 last weekend dealer said $321.00 for the part and who knows what its gonna cost to have them program it. Oh well snow is gone anyways.

Found one, at a dealer no less....Morrison's Ski Doo in Madbury, NH. This guy ROCKS! The price is $280, he gave it to me for $160 to "get it off the shelf by summer". Anyone in this area needs anything, he will go OUT OF HIS WAY to help!

I should! I installed it today. It started right up, fixed the lighting problem, etc. Woo Hoo!!!

haha. I am getting excited to haul the sleds tonite, bc it requires me to drive the sled 20 feet to get to the trailer, haha i feel like sucha loser
