Rebuilt break in time?

I just rebuilt my sled. New crank, bearings, pistons, rings gaskets, and seals. I got it all back togeather at the begining of the week. filled it up with 50.1 in the tank and let it warm up....checked to make sure it was using oil. let it run for about 20 minutes reving it slowly. then I took it for a 2 mile run about 30-40 mph. then took it back and checked to make sure it was using oil. I put about 15 miles on it lastnight and took it easy maybe 50 mph at the most. I let it cool off for about an hour and started it up and let it idle for a half hour or so and checked back every so often to make sure it was smoking good and reved it abit. I ran a tank of 50.1 mix gas in it. Just wondering what I should do next, if its ok to put some premium in it and rip it a little harder now or if I should still take it easy. Let me know.

Well for new snowmobiles they consider the first 200 k to be break in period in which you should not have it reving at high RPMs for an extended period of time. Or mabye it was 400k. Check your manual if you have it.

No reason to use premium....87 is recommended by AC.

after the first tank, just ride it like you normally do... you should be able to feel the rings getting seated as there will be more and more power until they finally seat.

When I got my efi rebuilt(a new piston, clutch, crank bearings) the guy said to take it easy for 100 miles, with lots of variation in the throttle. He also said that efi's "don't like" premixed gas as much as carburated sleds so he just said to mix the gas a little less(about 100:1). That's what I did anyways and the zr seems to be running awesome now.
