Now that's depressing

Well I was a little bored I did a few estimations...
Between buying my sled and all my new gear for snowmobiling this season I spent roughly $4500 (neglecting fuel and maintenance costs). And I've ridden a grand total of 150 miles this winter. So, snowmobiling has cost me roughly $30 a mile this year Just thought I'd share that.

Bought two sleds this year totaling $5400... spent another $3k on repairs and needed parts on them. Bought another sled for my gf to get rid of the big two up costing me another $1600 and losing $800 on the two up. Then turned around and spent another $10k on my RTX. I also rented twice this year which totalled over $700..... ALL IN MY FIRST YEAR OUT IN THE MIDWEST AND RIDING SLED. Not trying to compete but I think I've spent TOO MUCH.

Well my sled cost me a dollar, and it came with a helmet and some riding gear. (Straight from 1980.) Total cost with a new belt and a can of carb cleaner was $22.99, and if you divide that by the 500 miles that I put on in the last 2 weeks, you get 0.04598 cents per mile! Trouble free!

I can't really complain. And at the pump, she's easy too. 10 bucks will basically fill me up from 1/4 tank, and she'll go about 125 miles on a full tank. (7.5 gallons) So I'm happy with it as a first sled. Although I will probably try to get into a mid to late 90's polaris 500 or 600 in a year or so though.
