Are you anywhere near Spring Creek or Correy? I was out there over the weekend. Correy got around 6 inches while I was there...

Yep, the trails that come from Corry meet up with the Wales Sno Drifters trails and id say its about a 45 minute ride from where im at. Next season we are gonna register the sleds in NY because we live about 2 miles from the border. I hear the trails up near Sherman are pretty cool.

Checked my mapping prog, and it's about 45 min to the Chautauqua trails from Spring Creek. Chautaqua is supposed to have some of the best trails in NY, according to friends I have talked to... even better than Tug Hill.

Hey walleyejunkie I'm from new castle Pa,north of Pittsburgh. I never rode in Erie before I wanted to go up there when they had snow but had no idea were to ride. Could yea tell me where there is places to park and ride? I talked to one guy he said they park behind McDonald's and go from there but other then that he was no help.

Well Erie is a pretty cool place to ride considering all the trails are groomed daily and marked all over, the most popular place to ride in erie county is the "Wales Loop" which is a circle that is close to 60 miles of fields and woods. And connected off the loop is the presque isle sled clubs trails. The Erie trails run from NY to OH and can be ridden in a whole weekend. Go to http://www.walessnodrifters.com/ and click the link for trail maps, that displays the whole Wales Loop. Hope this helped.

Junkie, I ride mostly Chautauqua and Cattaragus Co. My family all live around Kennedy area (50 min from Erie). Alot of folks park and ride out of Kennedy. Theres a big parking lot accross from a bar named "The Office"(Great drinks and food). Usually good riding in any direction. Chautauqua Lake is quick and easy but not sure the frozen level this year.
rgoers is right about Catt Co. Suppossedly they have about 480 miles of groomed trails. There a park and ride at the truck stop right off I-86 at the Randolph exit (two exits up from Kennedy). I hit about 100 of em on the Chaut Co border between Randolph and South Dayton.
Right now there are only a couple inches on the ground. And is the reason I'm here and not there this weekend.
Might head up there next weekend if they get snow this week.
Hope this garble helps you out, Cheers, OB

Nate, thanks for the help and web site I'm going to send for the map, hopefully I'll be able to make it up there riding sometime it. makes it a little ruff to ride with no snow although we just got a couple inches still not enough to ride. sucks to have a new sled with only 30 miles on it I can't even tell if i like it yet.

It's the truck stop right at the Main St exit #16 accross from the cemetary. It used to be called R&M. I think the restaraunt is called Arance's now. The conditions tend to be more favorable at Kennedy on 394 though. I rode there Mon and Tues. 8" -10" up in the hills outside Ellington and Cherry Creek. Pics coming soon in the still shots section. Cheers, OB
