Not really:
Yamaha RS Vector: triple, 973cc, 120hp: weight: 544lbs
Polaris 600HO Fusion: twin, 600cc, hp???: weight: 477lbs.
67lbs isn't that much.

when a twin pops a piston, it will bog out and die, a triple, if you blow a piston, it still have 2 more runnin just trashin the inside of your motor resulting in massive repair bills. I have 1 of both, and no problems at all with a polaris 94' 580triple motor. But i like a twins bottom end myself
expect to see this runnin a formula 3 haha

my twin is fast I doo however understand what you are trying to say. usually a same cc triple will be faster than a twin. but usually only on top end.
