Is It Ok To Run A Sled On A Stand?
No snow right now, and I want to play around and set the idle and check for leaks and other things. Is it ok to run a sled with the rear lifted off the ground like on a stand? I dont plan on doing this for a long time, maybe 5 min or so. Just seein if this is ok?
Thanks.

Absolutely! Just be sure it's sturdy... don't want it vibrating off at full throttle.

in snoX they have warmup stands, basically to warm up the engine and get the ice chunks off the track(better holeshot) they go wide open on those stands

Yea you can just make sure the sled stays on the stand and that it doesnt get overheated. But yea they use them to warm up engines and stuff for snox like Fxs said

Many ppl use a stand to warm up their sled before riding in cold conditions. Allows you to warm up clutch, belt, track, chaincase, etc.

Yeah, I thought of that. I've seen it on other stands. I just don't stand behind it...
