I was thinking about putting a handlebar riser on my 00 RMK 700 but don't want the hassle of extending all the cables and wires. Anybody know what the maximum riser I can put on my sled without extending anything. Also anybody have any suggestions about the handlebar cover since it won't go all the way down to the hood after the riser. I would really like to have everything covered if possible.
4 in its pretty standard max across the board. As for covering the rest the post one used split loom and tape in the past looks decent. I've seen a couple bar pads from bikes cut down and wrapped as well
I agree 4" should be no problem. I have used a piece of 4" PVC and painted it black.
I have also made a few out of Pleather with Velcro.
On one of my Panteras I used a 4x3 fernco plumbing rubber coupling!
And it's on the same sled as mine? I don't want to go too high as I do a bit of trail riding as well.
