I recently bought a fl250 honda odyssey with a 340 enticer motor. It had a mikuni 36mm on it and was missing some parts. So I just bought a new vm36mm mikuni and do not know what size jets to use. Please help with any info on the matter.
Was the Mikuni on it a round slide as well? If so, just use the jets out of the dead carb. If those are the missing parts, not sure what to tell you. If the Mikuni 36mm is a stock carb for the Enticer, you could use an Enticer jetting chart to get you in the ball park.
My enticer had a flat slide on it. Best bet would be buy a jet kit and plug chops till dialed in. Start big and work down. Probably foul allot of plugs in the process.
Welcome! The stock carb would have been a butterfly. A round Mikuni is a better carb.
Jetting is going to be a challenge because of the use, warmer temps!
Thanks guys I really appreciate the help. Just ordered a handful of jets and gonna start big and go down. Also I don't have the oiler on this engine so I mix 32:1 and was wondering about the two lines that come off of the intake. Should I plug them so that I'm getting proper air fuel mixture?
Ok I have got it idling
But have to choke it everytime when starting it even if it's been running awhile. Not sure what I need to do now. The carb is brand new with new hoses and filter.
Oh yeah right. Then perhaps you could go up a size or two on the pilot jets as well as the mains?
You really want to start very rich and tune down.
