wondering who has communicators, and what you think of them for riding? i just recieved a pair for my friend and i and am looking for tips/comments. thanks

I don't have the kind you're talking about, but i bought a little crappy one at candian tire for 30 bucks that you can use to talk to your passenger. I use it whenever my girlfriend and i go on longer trips when she's on the back with me. I like it but it can be a bit distracting sometimes.

my dad and i use the chatter boxes.

i think they are good, but after using them for a while day the battery seems to wear out.

also, set your squelch sort of high so when you gun it, the sound of your motor doesnt trigger the microphone to turn on.

in which case you will have to say something before you start your original sentence...ie: <clear your throat> (mic turns on) hey dad lets stop ahead cuz i gotta pee
