were getting it good...i think
hi,
well after the rain we had we seem to be getting it good
we seem to have everything for a snow storm.
Saguenay3:24 PM EST Saturday 14 January 2006Blowing snow warning for Saguenay issued
Significant snow accumulations combined with wind gusts reaching up
to 70 km/h will reduce visibilities in blowing snow for Sunday.
A low pressure trough over western Québec is intensifying while
moving eastward today. It will bring significant rain and snow
amounts over eastern Québec. Behind the trough, unstable Arctic air
will generate strong winds causing blowing snow over some areas north
of the St Lawrence river.
Saguenay3:24 PM EST Saturday 14 January 2006Snowfall warning for
Saguenay issued
15 to 25 centimetres of snow are expected over northeastern Québec.
A low pressure trough over western Québec is intensifying while
moving eastward today. It will bring significant rain and snow
amounts over eastern Québec. Behind the trough, unstable Arctic air
will generate strong winds causing blowing snow over some areas north
of the St Lawrence river.

Lucky guy. After the last couple days of rain and 0*C weather our streets got scraped down to the pavement and there's absolutely no snow left for a snowmobile to get anywhere. That means you would need to trailer the sled anywhere you want to ride, except the snow sucks anyhow. I've been riding my mountain bike....
Now we're supposed to get colder weather but I don't know what the snow situation is going to be like. I hope we get whacked big time but I've come to expect very little from mother nature this year...

i got about 2.5 feet here.. but with the rain it got harder and packed...
like i said in a previous post, we didnt get half of what was annouced... but we got the cold alright... it's - 4 F and with the wind it's -29 F (not celsius, farenheit!) it's it frggin cold , i went to a restaurant and let the car idle all the time i as there.. everydoor, handbrake and such were frozen and the reason is that we went from 32 F yesterday morning to a -6 last night so..
weather network is always screwed... when they say were gonna get some big time, we get 4 inches,
like the last storm we had, the big one( and only one) they didnt even annouced it.. but we got 10 -12 inches in a night

Well we got about 4" last night. It was drifting up onto my deck and that's why I thought we were having a 10" blizzard.
Went out this morning to plow the driveway and my parking lot but the tractor had some issues. Seem like all that rain I got didn't help once it started freezing and locking up some parts. Got out the heat gun and thawed some of the controls.
